Lynne Schlesinger, dancer: look at them long and long

Lynne Schlesinger is a New York-based choreographer and dancer.  Her choreography has been presented at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival; Dance Theater Workshop, NYC; Philadelphia Fringe Festival; Riverside Church, NYC; Hatch Presents Series, NYC; Jennifer Muller/The Works, NYC; and Bennington College, VT.  Lynne collaborates and performs regularly with choreographer Sara Rudner, and has been a member of Sara Rudner & Dancers since 2007.  Additionally, she has collaborated and performed with: Douglas Dunn, Jennifer Muller, Neil Greenberg, Risa Jaroslow, Beppie Blankert, Ezra Caldwell, and Jeanine Durning.  In 2010 she collaborated with artist Robert Kushner in a revival of his 1972 performance piece Robert Kushner and Friends Eat Their Clothes. In addition to her work as a choreographer and performing artist, Lynne is a committed educator and teacher. Since 2007 she has taught dance and creative movement for the NYC Department of Education, and currently teaches at the Tompkins Square Middle School.  Lynne holds an MFA in Choreography and Dance from Sarah Lawrence College and B.S. in Dance Education from NYU.
